2019, What’s Good?

Happy 1 Year of Shaytakesthecity.com!

I still remember where I was when I decided to start my little personal passion project. I had such a desire to give you all an insight to my life. I aimed to provide insight to the good, the bad, and the Rosé moments of my life.

Let’s take a moment to address the elephant in the blogosphere. I haven’t written a post since August 2018. Ahh, how dare I give you such dope content over 2018 and proceed to drop off the face of the blogosphere.

I will allow you to start booing me, especially after my big comeback post in August, but let me explain myself first. After my explanation you’re allowed to throw one virtual tomato.

What had happened was… in all honesty, I needed to live life a little bit more before I could continue dropping content. Towards the end of August 2018 I experienced a lot of anxiety that required me to do a little bit of therapy and chill. Through my numerous therapist visits I learned that self-care has to be my number one priority. In order to excel in other places in life I need to focus on Shay and the other parts of my life will be easier to navigate.

So, that is what I have been doing for the past seven months. I have taken advantage of the moments that allowed me to step back and reflect on my life as well as taken that extra sip of wine that I may have previously passed on. I have danced when I would have normally stayed in and I slept when I would normally feel the guilt of not going out.

Now that we addressed that big ol’ elephant, let’s get pumped for the second year of Shaytakesthecity.com! I am getting married this year! I am on my journey from Miss to Mrs and you all get to join me.

I am aware you guys missed out some fun moments fron 2018 so I plan on doing throwback posts that highlight special events during 2018 i.e. my engagement party, selecting my wedding dress, etc.

I am so happy to inhale the beautiful blogosphere air again. I am happy to come back stronger and better this time around.

Join me as I continue to take on the city!

xoxo,

Shay
